👋 A Little About Me

Hey! I've been in tech for 5 years. I broke into my first role as an app developer with no background, and I didn't even finish my technical degree. Later I moved into cybersecurity with zero certifications. 🚀

I've helped tons of people land jobs through my free Discord community 🎉 and my 1:1 coaching program, Cycle Breaker Systems. My clients have landed 50+ job offers in 10 months, earned 200+ interviews, and pulled in roughly $2 to 3 million in combined salary offers.

🎭 Part 1: Behavioral Interviews (The STAR Method)

Behavioral questions are the "tell me about a time when..." questions. The trick isn't giving a perfect answer, it's telling a good story. That's where STAR comes in. 🌟

What STAR Means (In Simple Terms)

🟢 Situation: Set the scene. Where were you and what was going on? Keep it short, just enough for the interviewer to picture it.

🟡 Task: What was the challenge or goal you had to tackle? This is the part where you explain why it mattered.

🔵 Action: What did YOU personally do about it? Not your team, you. Break it into a few clear steps like "first I did this, then I did that."

🟣 Result: What happened because of what you did? Numbers help a lot here. Also mention what you learned, it shows growth.

Think of it like telling a bedtime story. Once upon a time (Situation), there was a problem (Task), so the hero did something about it (Action), and they lived happily ever after (Result). You're the hero of your own story. 🦸

⏱️ Timing target: 60 to 90 seconds. That's the sweet spot for a STAR answer. Long enough to tell a real story with detail, short enough that you don't lose the interviewer. If you're going over 90 seconds, you're probably including details that don't matter. Time yourself when you practice.

Example: Boring vs Brilliant

😴 Boring answer: "There was a stressful time at work with a project issue, but we fixed it and it worked out."

Brilliant answer: "During Black Friday, our system crashed with 200 customers waiting. As the senior rep, I built a manual tracking sheet, personally called our top 20 VIP customers, and gave my team a script with a discount offer. We kept 95% of those customers and our satisfaction score jumped 15% that month."

See the difference? Specific details, personal actions, and real numbers make it memorable. 📈
